Many people with disabilities find it very difficult or impossible to handle a mouse and/or a keyboard. For these cases we have developed this service, which allows total control of the computer with the movement of one eye. To achieve this, we use an eye-tracking system called Quick Glance. It replaces the mouse on Windows applications. This allows the user to place the mouse cursor on any spot of the screen, by simply looking at that spot. Mouse clicking is achieved by blinking slowly, or by dwelling, that is, keeping the cursor on the spot for a fixed time. Combined with an on-screen keyboard, the user can communicate by text and/or voice. Various options to emulate different kinds of mouse clicks allow users total control over the functions of Windows, including click, double-click, drag and drop, right mouse click, etc. The software is designed to work in the background, so the user can work with any other windows application. IRISCOM is used for writing, surfing the Internet, E-Mail, computer aided drafting, games, and many other applications. |
